Hi, Iām Kelly!
For fourteen years, I worked as a classroom teacher, helping children learn, create, question, and grow. Along the way, I earned a Master's degree in STEAM Education, studied art, and became a mother myself.
Those experiences taught me something important: some of the most meaningful learning happens when children have the freedom to follow their curiosity, create with their hands, spend time in nature, and explore alongside caring adults.
As both an educator and a parent, I began imagining new ways for children and families to learn, connect, and discover together outside the traditional classroom setting. At the same time, I found myself increasingly inspired by the foothill community I've been fortunate to call home throughout my teaching career.
I saw incredible families, passionate educators, and a community that values connection, creativity, and the outdoors. I also saw an opportunity for a space where children and caregivers could gather, explore, create, and build community together. The idea of creating that kind of place felt meaningful, exciting, and worth pursuing.
The Nest grew from that vision.
Today, The Nest brings together my love of education, creativity, nature, and community to create experiences that invite children and caregivers to explore, discover, and grow side by side.
